The ‘big boss’ explained that Youth Radio was his “Brainchild”. Though daily tasks like programming and other general management affairs keep him busy, he wouldn’t miss out on being on air for anything in the world. His 'day' is Saturday when he hosts his programme ‘Lazey Bay’, named after the former hot spot in Marigot next to the Texaco gas station where people used to meet and catch up on the latest news. He starts the programme at 6:00am, playing many of the popular ‘oldies’. “I keep you going on Saturday morning. When you clean your house, I go in the memory lane and I share some zouk, cadence and talk about the old days. I interview the elders in the community, keeping the listeners in touch with them.” Right after Lazey Bay, Patou continues with the Reggae Lunch on Saturdays, from 12 noon to 1:00pm. Patou has been involved in radio since 1982. At that time he worked in Guadeloupe. He started working at a radio station in St. Martin in 1986, stopped again in 1997 and in 2003 he went to Radio Calypso.
