MIMI

Her name on the air is Mimi and only reluctantly she will tell you her real name: Myriame Merlo. Mimi is best known from the call-in programme ‘Le Chat’. She has no fixed hours. She now mostly covers politics. She goes to the political meetings which she covers together with the cable company MSR. She comments on the political meetings and events, sometimes live, which she did for the past elections.

Mimi started at Youth Radio about two years ago, helping out the programme director and president. Mimi actually works at the French side Chamber of Commerce. In her spare time, she would come over to Youth Radio to assist wherever necessary. Her drive? Positively inspiring the youth. “The youth are ready to work and you want to encourage them to do good things with their lives, motivate them. Mimi is very positive about the cooperation with Radio Calypso. “For me that is proof that competitors can work together, that it is possible.”
